What We Believe
1. Scriptures
We believe the Holy Bible is a flawless treasure of divine instruction, consisting of Old and New Testament Scriptures written by men whom God inspired. We believe that the author of the Bible is God, and its purpose is to guide us toward salvation and reveal the principles by which God will judge us. Therefore, it is the true center of Christian unity and the highest standard against which all human conduct, creeds, and opinions can be measured. We use only the King James Version, which we believe is the only accurately preserved Word of God for English-speaking people.
2. God
We believe in the Triune God, the Creator, Preserver, and Ruler of all things, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. These three are one God, having precisely the same nature, attributes, and perfections.
Genesis 1:1, 26 Deuteronomy 6:4 Matthew 28:19, 20 John 1:1, 2 John 10:30
3. The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe in the eternal existence of Jesus as God. We also believe in His incarnation through the virgin birth, His death on the cross as a substitutionary atonement for sin, His literal bodily resurrection from the dead, His present ministry of intercession in Heaven, and His return to earth.
Hebrews 1:8; Isaiah 7:14; Luke 1:35; Romans 3:25; Hebrews 9:14; Luke 24:36-43; Acts 10:40, 41; Hebrews 8:1,2; I John 2:1; Acts 1:11; I Thessalonians 4:16
4. Man
We believe that God created man in His image and a state of innocence. However, man fell through the sin of disobedience, which corrupted them in body, mind, and soul. Consequently, all men need redemption.
5. Salvation
We believe that salvation is obtained solely by the grace of God through faith in the sacrificial death of our Lord Jesus Christ and His resurrection from the dead. We also believe that those who repent and receive Jesus as their Savior are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and become children of God. Furthermore, we believe that all those who are truly saved are kept forever by the power of God.
6. Eternal – Security
We believe that once a person becomes a child of God, they are eternally secure in the person and work of Jesus Christ. God's promise and power forever keeps them until He brings them home to Heaven.
7. Church
We believe that the church of the Lord is a visible body of believers who have undergone water baptism as believers in accordance with the Scriptures. They are united by a covenant of faith and fellowship in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They follow the teachings of Christ, governed by His laws, and exercise the gifts, rights, and privileges given to them by His Word. According to the Scriptures, the only officers and leaders of the church are pastors and deacons, whose qualifications, claims, and duties are defined in the Epistles to Timothy and Titus.
Matthew 18:17; 28:20 I Corinthians 1:1-13; 11:2 Acts 2:41 I Timothy 3
8. Baptism (Ordinance)
We believe that according to the Scriptures, baptism should be performed by the authority of a local New Testament Church and involve the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. The purpose of a Believer's Baptism is to symbolize the believer's faith in the crucified, buried, and risen Savior and the transformative effect of their faith concerning their death to sin and resurrection to a new life.
